- Changes to Nottinghamshire Police Response.

Nottingham Police have announced immediate changes to their policy for response to Monitored Intruder Alarm Systems. Previously a site on Level 1 Police Response would receive attendance within 30 minutes and a site on Level 2 Police Response would receive attendance within 24 hours.

With immediate effect this policy has now changed so that a system on Level 1 Response which has a "confirmed" alarm activation will now receive an "immediate" Police response within 15 minutes. A site which is on Level 1 but has an "unconfirmed" activation will receive an "urgent" response within one hour. A site on Level 2 Response will receive attendance within ten hours.

Response however is ultimately determined by the nature of demand, priorities and resources at the time of activation.

With effect from 1st April 2004 Three False Intruder Alarm Calls or Two False Personal Attack Alarms in a rolling twelve month period will reduce Police Response to Level 3 (No Response). Level 1 response will only be reinstated if the system is upgraded to one with confirmed signalling.

From 1st April  2005 only alarm calls received where there is further information to suggest a crime is in progress (i.e. a confirmed alarm) will receive Police response.
