09/03/2004 - Newark Alarm Systems Gets Gold!

Newark Alarm Systems installers of Intruder Alarm Systems received further recognition of their commitment to working to the highest standards when they received their NACOSS Gold medal, presented to them by the National Security Inspectorate’s (NSI) Chief Executive, Tom Mullarkey, at Hinchingbrooke House, Huntingdon, on 25 February.

The unique, numbered and framed Gold medal, produced exclusively for NSI by the Royal Mint, is awarded to companies which have achieved NACOSS Gold approval, the premier scheme for companies involved in the installation and maintenance of intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems in the UK. By meeting NACOSS Gold requirements, Newark Alarm Systems can provide assurance to their customers that they deliver the highest standard of service.

Newark Alarm Systems, based at The Old Barn, Wetsyke Lane, Balderton, Newark has been installing Intruder Alarm Systems since 1984 and has been NACOSS Gold approved since December 2003. Mr Carty the proprietor, stated, "We are committed to providing both new and existing customers with the best products and service and in recognition of this, we are proud to have received the NACOSS Gold medal."

As part of achieving the Gold Status Newark Alarm Systems have also been awarded BS EN ISO 9001:2000 accreditation replacing the BS EN ISO 9002:1994 accreditation held since 1996. To achieve accreditation the company underwent a detailed NSI Audit over many months, which looked at every aspect of the companies operations including management process and customer service.

An independent, not-for-profit organisation, NSI is the UK’s leading inspectorate for the security and more recently the fire industries, championing the highest standards for over 30 years. NSI approved companies comply with the appropriate British and European Standards and meet the requirements of the police and insurers.
